Graduate with a prestigious certificate enabling you to apply to the Washington Board of Dentistry as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), marking a monumental step in your career trajectory.
Along with your DANB (Dental Assisting National Board] radiology and Basic Life Support (BLS) certificates.

• WEEK 01 •
General introduction to the exciting field of Dentistry, including your orientation to our clinic and dental terminology.
• WEEK 02 •
Four-handed dentistry, instrumental transfer, isolation techniques, suctioning (HVE), local anesthesia, patient positioning, handpiece maintenance, sealants and coronal polishing.
• WEEK 03 •
Radiology theory and practice of intraoral and extraoral X-ray techniques, X-ray safety, darkroom procedures.
• WEEK 04 •
Amalgam and composite materials, instruments, mixing, curing, tubs, trays.
• WEEK 05 •
Cements and liners, alginate impressions (upper arch), model pouring and trimming, X-ray quiz. CPR Training.
• WEEK 06 •
Midterm exam. Oral surgery, periodontal instruments and materials, sterilization procedures, alginate impressions (lower arch).
• WEEK 07 •
Crown and bridge instruments and materials, making temporary restorations, bite registration.
• WEEK 08 •
Endodontic materials and instruments, orthodontics, job interview skills.
• WEEK 9•
Office management, front desk operation, appointments, billing dental insurance, office management software, OSHA regulations. Review and practice for final exam.
• WEEK 10 •
Final exam and practical exam. Pediatric dentistry, final written exam, X- ray practical clinical exam.

Dr. Quaidoo provides clinical, consultant and expert services where her
expertise gleaned from over three decades in dentistry, brings impeccable
views and judgements on the clinical care of patients, assessment of the
management of patients, and the delivery of dental services. In addition ,
her specialized skills as a Business Owner, Writer, Speaker, Educator,
Trainer, Author , Dental Expert Witness, and Professional Coach provide
added value which can be utilized in many professional and personal
settings.
Dr. Quaidoo was born and raised in Ghana, West Africa and grew up in a
family of philosophers, teachers, and musicians.
She immigrated to the US from Canada in 1985 where she pursued a double major
in Biology and Chemistry. She was on track to graduate with ‘Summa cum laude’
distinction when she accepted early admission to Dental School . She obtained her
Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Washington School of Dentistry in
Seattle, Washington in 1989 and has resided in the State of Washington ever since.
She is married with two wonderful children.
‘Dr Q’ as she is popularly called, has a quiet yet powerfully amicable disposition
and loves to connect with people. She derives great joy empowering her patients and
clients, and drawing out their best attributes. She is of the firm belief that life is
about choices and choosing a positive outlook on life is fundamental to a fulfilling
existence. She strives at excellence at every opportunity as evidenced by numerous
awards and honors throughout her academic career.
Dr. Quaidoo enjoys reading Metaphysical and Philosophical Books when she is not
practicing dentistry, as well as linguistics, classical piano, music, traveling , public
speaking and writing. She has authored a number of articles and a couple of books
and her literary works include “Exquisite Smile, your radiance from within” and
“Stress Management and the Smile Factor”. Dr. Q loves to help. She is the founder
and executive director of the Aquarian Centers for Smile and Life Mastery
(ACSLM), and the former Tender Touch Dental Foundation, Washington
nonprofits organized to restore smiles and transform lives in under served areas,
locally and abroad.
Tammy is a lifelong resident of Washington and has dedicated over 30 years to the dental field working in different capacities in both the front and back office. Tammy can single-handedly run an entire dental office with her vast skillset and experience. Her passion lies in forming strong relationships and also cosmetic dentistry, where she finds great satisfaction in witnessing the transformative impact on patients' smiles and confidence. Outside of work, She enjoys spending quality time with her family, as well as knitting, crocheting, reading, and caring for her birds.
Jenna got her RDA certification in 2005 and has worked in different capacities in the dental field for close to 20 years. She has served in supervisory roles with many dental teams in many work environments. She has also served and continues to serve in consultancy roles with the Health Department and Health Care Authority. When she is not working, you will find her spending quality time with her family and pursuing her many passions.
Sarah Arthur was born and raised in Washington state and is the Office Manager for Smile Matters Inc. and the Administrative Coordinator for the Smile Matters Training Institute. She has worked with the office for over 10 years in different capacities. Prior to her Management role at Smile Matters, she worked in the entertainment industry for several years in coordinator-level positions. At WarnerMedia and NBCUniversal, Sarah worked in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion departments where she supported talent development pipeline programs. As an alumna of the NBCUniversal Page Program, the Television Academy Foundation internship program, and the Emma Bowen Foundation Summer Fellowship Program, Sarah is constantly learning and challenging herself. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Studies from Pepperdine University and loves creative pursuits, traveling and experiencing different cultures.
As enrollment officer, Cade’s not only the first person you’ll talk to when you call Smile Matters Training Institute, but he’s also the person who will help connect you with the right resources and information to get started on your new career path.
Cade just recently acquired his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Arkansas where he taught college courses and helped students prepare and apply to their first jobs out of college. He is passionate about helping others reach their goals and execute the vision they have for their future.
Cade and his wife, Emily, have one daughter: Faye. In his free time, he enjoys screenplays, going on walks with Emily and Faye at the local park, and, when he’s feeling extra ambitious, grilling.
